Hurricane Radio

During the summer of 1975, the idea of starting a free radio was born. A transmitter was bought, a Heatkit DX 60B with approximately 45 watts output. The 7 of September, the equipment was tested during three short five minutes long shows. The first real show was put on air the 28 of September 1975 on 6217 kHz. They was also connected to the FRL as member no 58. The programs consist of 45 minutes with Genesis, 10 cc, Pink Floyd etc.


The DJ's was Steve Jordan and Philip Morris. The chief engineer was called Harry Cane. The station has not been heard since the 26 of September 1976.
